Baroni, however, does not agree and in his post-match analysis makes direct reference to the incriminating episodes: “We have good referees but it becomes difficult even for us coaches to propose defensive work when there are situations like non-bad stampings. Football belongs to everyone, for people to become fond of it you need a show: I look for aggressive and dynamic football, I hope there are no counter-trend situations”. And he then explained what he said to the referee immediately after the match: “The confrontation between us and them must be calm, direct and fair. I gave my opinion… In my opinion, sometimes the interpretation needs to be corrected, otherwise we need to correct it, using other methods of working on the pitch and in training”.
