Good sixth for Italiano: Castro gives the first three points. Monza still without victories

On the sixth day of the championship comes the first victory for Bologna under the Vincenzo Italian at the end of a hard-fought and balanced match against Monza where it seemed like another draw would come at the start of this season. The Emilians instead found three precious points, also on a mental level, thanks to a pearl of Santiago Castro ten minutes from the end.

In the large rotation adopted by Italiano, six different players compared to the Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk, Ravaglia and De Silvestri are not convincing, not very attentive on the occasion of the draw in Monza, while Urbanski and Castro are the match winners. On the other side Nesta has to review something in defense, but can enjoy a Djuric in great form.

“In my opinion we were in the game also in the second half, while in the first we started very well. Unfortunately we lost a few minutes, we didn’t drop but unfortunately Monza conceded two goals that were definitely avoidable”, is the comment of Alessandro Nesta in the post-race, still looking for the first victory, who clings to the episodes to explain the defeat. “This is an important victory that we were waiting for, that gives us strength and awareness – (…) Are we leaving the difficult period behind us? We are growing as a group and as individuals, plus I saw great quality. I am very satisfied”, is instead the comment of Italiano who hopes to have turned the corner after an uphill start and some grumbling from the square.
