Have you got a weight off your chest?
“Yes, honestly yes. All of us. We were waiting for this victory, which came in a difficult way, it almost seemed like a cursed match and instead we went behind but we stayed in the game with spirit and I liked it. Today I understood that I have a great group and great men. We dedicate the victory to the president, he was close to us during the week, and to the fans, today an extra man”.
Will you start again from the second half today?
“I said it from the first moment, I’m not someone who christens a game system and goes straight to that. I said that there would be games in which we would change, today we have the maturity to start doing it. I’ve been working with the full team, however, for only two weeks. Now we evaluate everything. I say that in the first half we were just a little fearful in the game. I told the team to make mistakes rather than be brave and it’s no coincidence that then the victory came”.
Did you expect Gudmundsson to do this?
“We were waiting for Albert with open arms, he hadn’t played minutes since May and he also had a physical problem. I didn’t expect such a devastating impact but the team also put him in condition.
How to put all the various Colpanis, Gudmundssons and Keans together?
“There is competition, those who are committed and show me that they want the starting shirt and have the predisposition to work and apply themselves. Adli came in a little but as a great professional, ditto Ikone, Ranieri and Kouame. Here there are no starters and reserves, but only Fiorentina”.

“At the end of the first half I told the team to be more courageous, we were fearful… A bit of a middle ground and I don’t like that. Then we changed the system, we went to 4-2-3-1, a system that I like and that I also used last year in Monza. In life you grow through difficulties and I’m having a lot of them, I’m growing a lot, much more than I experienced in Monza. “Bove is a wild card, he’s intelligent and can play in every position. I’m crazy about him, he can do everything.”
