Women’s Serie A, Round 3: Juve on the pitch today. The Milanese derby tomorrow

Yesterday, the Women’s Serie A opened with Napoli’s home win against Sassuolo with a gem of a goal. Debora Novellino which gave the first three points to the Azzurre. Today it will be Juventus’ turn to face a Lazio team coming off two consecutive draws: the Bianconere, coming off the victory over PSG in the first leg of the Champions League preliminary round, will have to be careful not to make any missteps against a well-equipped team.

It will then be the weekend of the Milan derby: while the men’s match between Inter and Milan will be played on Sunday evening at San Siro, the women’s clash between the Rossoneri and Nerazzurri will take place in the afternoon at the Arena Civica (3.45pm) with live coverage on Rai Sport in addition to DAZN. A challenge in which the Italian coach will also be present in the stands Andrea Soncin and that promises to be a spectacle, given that in the twelve previous matches in the championship there has never been a draw with Milan having the best record, eight victories, and Inter who however has won two of the last three matches. It will also be a sort of head-to-head, given that Piovani’s team leads the standings with full points, while Bakker’s team is still hunting for its first points of the season.

Roma, on the other hand, will have to prove, after the 3-1 defeat to Servette in Europe, that they have recovered and can get back in the hunt for the top teams after the two draws that left a bitter taste in their mouths. In Como, however, it won’t be easy against a team that has shown it can cause problems for the big teams. Closing the day will be a Fiorentina that came out destroyed in the first leg of the Champions League (7-0 for Wolfsburg and elimination now certain) that will want to make up for it in the championship by continuing the clean run of the first two matchdays.
