Ricci: “Toro first and National, I couldn’t have asked for better. Now focus on Empoli”

After the 3-2 success on the Verona pitch, the Granata midfielder Samuel Ricci he commented on the match to the microphones of Turin Channel: “It was a bit of a strange match. It started well after ten minutes and we got a result that wasn’t a given. We were good at finding the goal right away and finding the third. Maybe some carelessness can happen and you risk ruining an evening. It’s a result that gives continuity and now we’re thinking about Empoli”.

Are you comfortable in the role of playmaker?
“Yes. It’s a role I feel very comfortable in. In the first half there wasn’t much space to play and you have to make some horizontal passes. It went very well, I’ll also talk about it with the analysts. Let’s continue along this path”.

How are you experiencing this period with the call-up to the national team?
“It’s a very positive period. I was called up to the national team and it went very well. We found two victories that were good for Italy. At the club we’re doing well. So I couldn’t have asked for anything better.”

Now there’s the Italian Cup: will you be able to recharge your batteries?
“Yes. We are a complete and available group. We are all important and we will arrive at Tuesday’s match with the right spirit.”
