The captain of Parma Enrico Delprato he spoke to the microphones of DAZN at the end of the match drawn in extremis against Lecce: “We are very happy, I think you could see it from the group’s exultation. It’s the reward for the contribution that each boy gives to the team, today two substitutes scored, among other things one on an assist from a very young boy. Goal by Hainaut, another boy who hasn’t played much. This shows the strength of the team, of working with so many young boys. At 2-0 things were going badly but we didn’t give up and we snatched a nice draw”.
Is this draw a confidence boost?
“We are a young team, with many guys at their first experience in Serie A. These games should be a lesson to us, probably in Serie B you could have gotten by, this year instead at the first mistake you concede a goal. You always have to stay on top of things, maybe at 0-0 we didn’t deserve to go behind but we made some small mistakes, I think also linked to youth and the fact that these are the first experiences in Serie A for a good part of the group. We take it as a lesson, but the response of not giving up and continuing to play even 2-0 down was important.
We recovered a point compared to those lost against Napoli and Udinese”.
