Materazzi: “I dream of a seventh consecutive derby win. Ibra? I hope Milan never get Maldini back”

If there is anyone who is eagerly waiting to see the first derby of the season between Inter and Milan this Sunday (8.45pm) at San Siro is certainly Mark Materazziformer defender and Nerazzurri loyalist, who in the interview given to the Gazzetta dello Sport notebooks wished Simone Inzaghi’s team the best as they begin to create a gap in the standings: “I dream of a seventh consecutive victory (in derbies, ed.), I dream of another snub”, Matrix began.

However, derbies are notoriously capable of changing the mood of rivals in a flash.: “It’s usually a disadvantage to approach the derby in this way, usually the one who is worse off wins. But let’s talk about Inter. We’re talking about a team that for two years has been the strongest in Italy: regardless of who plays, the identity is always the same. Manchester was exemplary in this sense”.

Towards the end of the interview, however, Materazzi has launched a derisory dig at Milan on management matters: “Ibra is the boss and he’s the one in charge? Well, honestly, it doesn’t make any impression on me. Let’s say that these are words that are part of the character. I feel like saying this, as an Inter fan: I hope that Milan never takes Paolo Maldini back…”.
