Before the match against Cagliari, a match valid for the 5th day of Serie A, the Empoli coach spoke to Dazn microphones, Roberto D’Aversa. These are his words:
Finally back on the field, on the bench. Strange emotions even for the first time?
“Not exactly for the first time, but considering the time I’ve been away from the pitch, yes. There’s a bit of emotion in returning to experience the match from the sidelines.”

Where in the last match, in my opinion, the result did not reflect the progress of the match”.
Before the match you said that at the beginning of the season Cagliari was the most difficult match. Why and how do you win in Cagliari?
“Precisely because it comes from a match where the result could make you think that Cagliari is very likely to have difficulties, but absolutely because we analyzed the match well and for 60 minutes the game was on par with Napoli. So they have important values and today we must be ready to play not against Cagliari but against a people, the people of Cagliari, who are people who push their team a lot”.
