The former Udinese coach, Gabriele Cioffiintervened at Radio Manà Manà Sports speaking of the first days of the championship: “The logical surprise is in the performance of the small teams that they are showing, not only for their ideas but also for their freshness. The big teams are suffering in the European Championships and in the future there will be many matches, there could be surprises”.

How did you see De Rossi’s Roma and what can Juric bring to the team?
“The decision to fire De Rossi was a strong one, as was the dismissal of Mourinho. They are two leaders of the people, the Portuguese for history and Daniele for being a flag bearer and a promising coach. They are strong choices that must be respected, I believe that the team was built for a 3-4-2-1 and that is Juric’s set-up. That module is from the Gasperini school, Daniele likes a more ball-based style of football while Juric prefers physicality and direct play”.
If what he says on the form is true, it is true that in his interpretation of the system Juric is asking for something different.
“I agree, the modules must be interpreted because they are numbers, then there are the principles that are opposite but it does not mean that Juric cannot have an impact. Daniele did well last year and this year he did not have time. It is true that the owners are in a hurry but I believe that they had invested in the coach even with an important contract. In football there is no logic of the table so these choices must be respected, I am convinced that Juric can have an impact”.
