De Roon after Atalanta-Arsenal 0-0: “The Champions League is a tough competition”

Atalanta and Arsenal split the spoils with a 0-0 draw on the first day of the new Champions League. At the Gewiss Stadium, the balance prevails, with the Goddess who can regret more than the Gunners the opportunity missed in the 51st minute by Retegui who, having stepped up to the penalty spot, is hypnotized by Raya (both on the first kick and on the tap-in). Cuadrado on one side and Martinelli on the other then try to break the deadlock, but without luck.

Marten De Rooncaptain of Atalanta, spoke to UEFA’s official channels as follows: “It was a very balanced match. In truth, we only had one great chance on the penalty kick. It’s a tough competition full of top teams. You could feel the atmosphere from the stands, it was incredible.”
