In the last gasp. Atlético Madrid came from behind to beat Red Bull Leipzig at the Wanda Metropolitano to claim their first three points in the ‘league phase’ of the 2024/25 Champions League. Trailing by a goal after Benjamin Sesko’s early goal, Simeone’s team equalised just before the half-hour mark with a goal from Antoine Griezmann. Then, in the last gasp, the goal that set the final score at 2-1: a cross from Griezmann and a header from Gimenez.
