Genoa, the latest from “Signorini”: Bani towards recovery for Venezia

A screaming week. A Grifoni week. It will be a busy seven days for Genoa that the day after tomorrow will begin a mini tour de force, between the championship and the Italian Cup. It will start on Saturday afternoon with the challenge against Eusebio Di Francesco’s Venezia, will continue with the derby della Lanterna on Wednesday evening and will conclude next Saturday with the home match against Thiago Motta’s Juventus.

Bani towards recovery
And the team continues its preparation at the “Gianluca Signorini” sports center in Pegli with coach Alberto Gilardino who has received good instructions from Mattia Bani. The vice-captain, also absent last Sunday against Roma, is moving towards full recovery and could finally celebrate his 100th appearance with the rossoblù shirt. Miretti, Messias and Zanoli are unavailable, as is Norton-Cuffy who is always monitored by the staff.

Gilardino’s run-offs
Last training sessions to clear up some doubts about the starting lineup. It is possible that, given the close commitments of the next seven days, the coach may change some elements. In addition to the defense, with the use or not of Bani, there will be a ballot in the middle of the field between Thorsby and Malinovskyi while in attack Pinamonti, Vitinha and Ekuban are fighting for two shirts from the first minute.
