The Attorney John Whitein his interview given to TMWalso spoke about the failure of the deal between Lyon and Fiorentina for Mangala, a midfielder that the Viola liked a lot in the last days of the transfer market but then moved to Everton. These are his words, as an intermediary in the negotiations: “I had set up the deal with Pradè and Goretti and Lyon’s requests had changed, which had opened up to a onerous loan with right of redemption. The president then decided to give him to Everton and everything fell through when it seemed that the deal was with right of redemption. The figures for the loan with right were for a total of 25-30 million. He was almost leaving for Florence but then everything fell through”.
Could negotiations restart next summer?
“Given the great appreciation of the player and Fiorentina, I think so, but it depends on Everton and the path they will take. However, I repeat, the player had given his yes to the Viola”.
What do you think of Lorenzo Anghelè, who made his Serie A debut in Juve’s away match in Verona?
“He is a talent. Many compare him to Van Basten, for his characteristics and elegance. Juventus are banking on him a lot for the future and he has great prospects. There were requests from abroad, with clubs that also put a lot of money on the table, but they were all rejected and this says a lot”.
