Sporting director Angelo Fabiani gave an interview to the microphones of Lazio’s official channels, first of all to offer his condolences to the families of Alicicco, Schillaci and Argurio: “I wanted to offer my condolences to the families of Professor Alicicco, Totò Schillaci and Christian Argurio. I had the news since yesterday and it really shocked me, I had the pleasure of working with Christian when he was at Messina, I brought him to work with me. A lot of hard work, extraordinary preparation, but it left me shocked because, regardless of football, it was a premature death. Mrs. Argurio told me that he suddenly fell ill while he was in the bathroom and was happily humming a song while whistling. Suddenly he felt ill and it really shocked me, just as I was shocked by the death of Totò Schillaci. He also played at Messina, all the deaths he has to comment on of people he knows or even doesn’t know are always sad things that hit you, even more so if you had the chance to know and work with three people of this caliber. A big hug to the families, these are moments where you have to stay close to the families themselves”.
Fabiani then commented on the letter written yesterday by Luis Alberto: “There is little to comment on, we will end up being the same as some people who say stupid things and wicked things. In some of these people there is the resentful syndrome of the beneficiary or the bonified, so I would end it here. I am only sorry that today I am not in the mood because of this bad news that has shocked me and I cannot go on any longer than necessary. The thing that makes me terribly angry is that some people can make fun of the fans in some way, I do not agree with these things and I also get poisoned by them. Let’s end it here, let’s pretend that we have made the King’s stableman get over yet another tantrum. I renew for the umpteenth time my deepest condolences to these three people that I had the pleasure and honor of knowing because they are extraordinary people and characters”.
