Bianchessi: “Milan came after Pogba before Juve: here’s why we didn’t take him”

The general manager of the Monza Youth Sector Mauro Bianchessi gave a long interview to ‘LaPresse’. During the exchange, Bianchessi also returned to his long adventure as a director of Milan, revealing a behind-the-scenes story about Paul Pogba: “Galliani called his agent, the late Mino Raiola, but at that time there was some controversy that too much money was being given to agents and nothing was done. Eight months later Juventus took him for 5 million and a few years later sold him for 110 million. Before Juventus there was us”.

Bianchessi then spoke about the strong bond that exists between him and Monza CEO Adriano Galliani: “Adriano Galliani often says that his fortune was meeting President Silvio Berlusconi, I think mine was meeting Dr. Galliani, an incredible man, a person to whom I am attached and today I am at Monza simply because there is Adriano Galliani, a person who is part of my family. Galliani and Berlusconi took Milan from a bankruptcy court, led it for a few years to be the most successful club in the world, took Monza to Serie C and, like winning a Champions League, took it to Serie A. Not only that, they confirmed it in Serie A”.
