Motta doesn’t want to be compared to Lippi: “Combinations that aren’t good”

He debuts in the Champions League like Marcello Lippi. Would you like to have something of Lippi? It’s one of the questions asked in the press conference Thiago Mottacoach of the Juventus that after the 3-1 victory against PSV Eindhoven he replied like this: “Everything, but comparisons are not good. I don’t like comparisons. He has done great things, he is a historic coach, to be admired. But no comparisons, I am me, I try to do my best to help the team, think in the present, work to the maximum. Lippi was a historic coach for our football, for this great club. There is only admiration for a coach of this level”.

Then in another passage Motta added: “I don’t know how you can get to perfection. But you need to improve, to get to this need to always improve. We need to be aware of our strengths and know that we can have something better or more. The point is to never settle for the result, the way you play. Be prepared to look for something better. Our job, the beautiful thing, is to always look for something better.”
