Focus TMW

The fifth day of Serie B has been archived and there has been no shortage of surprises. From Pisa’s victory at home to Salernitana to Brescia’s poker against Frosinone, passing through the away victories of Palermo and Sassuolo and yet another seasonal defeat for Sampdoria, with the Blucerchiati in last place in the standings.

Below is the Top 11 of the 5th day of Serie B according to the TMW report cards (4-4-2 formation):

Fulignati 8 – A real wall for Cremonese. He saved the result on more than one occasion, especially in the first half on Soleri and in the second half on Cassata. Confident in his exits and attentive in reading the trajectories. Blameless on Hristov’s goal. (Cremonese)

Zaro 7 – He scores the equaliser for Modena with a header that goes over Mangraviti, who is less vigorous and aggressive than him on Palumbo’s cross. He also does an impeccable job from a defensive point of view. (Modena)

Bertola 7 – The best on the field for Spezia. He dominates in the aerial game, comes close to scoring on a couple of occasions and is the protagonist of a performance of great personality. (Spezia)

Vicars 7 – Great performance by the red and white central defender who “cancels out” Mensah, giving the crumbs to the guest offensive reference in the first 45′. As he was cautioned, he was replaced at the start of the second half to avoid risks. (Bari)

Horace 7 – It’s a super volley from the captain that unlocks the match after just eight minutes on a cross from the right by Mazzocchi. A great performance, closed with the well-deserved applause of the “San Vito-Marulla” crowd at the time of the substitution.

Case 7 – In his first match as a starter he immediately made his mark, providing an assist for Pedro Mendes and creating many problems for Cesena’s defense until the moment of substitution. (Modena)

Galazzi 7.5 – Super, super performance: constant thorn in the side for the opposing defense. What an assist for Olzer, in an intelligent free kick scheme. He is really unleashed today and if Brescia is rampaging it owes much to Galazzi and his plays. (Brescia)

Lella 7 – He scored the 1-0 goal following a corner kicked by Falletti. Very lively from the start of the match, he was undoubtedly one of the best on the pitch. (Bari)

Sticks 7 – His left-footed shot from outside the area is a gem that brought Cesena back to life. Aside from the goal, he played a solid match, given that he worked tirelessly until the moment of substitution. (Cesena)

N. Bonfanti 7,5 – The current top scorer in Serie B doesn’t miss even in a difficult match like the one at Arechi. He’s quick to take advantage of the nice assist offered by the other Bonfanti and cool to convert the penalty for 2-1. Man of the match. (Pisa)

Juric 7.5 – He was looking for his first goal of the season, he scores a super-double. First by being where he needs to be on Bisoli’s imprecise shot, scoring from two steps away, then with a fine volley for the doubling. In general, he really doesn’t make a mistake. (Brescia)
