“No more excuses, last call” and Milan responds present: Fonseca’s first victory

Upon arrival at San Siro for the match against Venezia, Milan were welcomed by the fans with an eloquent banner: “No more excuses, last call”. And Paulo Fonseca’s team responded present, scoring four goals against Eusebio Di Francesco’s boys in less than half an hour (29 minutes): at Halfway The goals by Theo Hernandez, Fofana, Pulisic and Abraham, the latter two from the penalty spot, are decisive. The American is once again the best on the pitch (also the best Rossoneri player of the season so far), but the whole team plays well, including the much-discussed Theo and Leao (an assist and a penalty earned for the Portuguese) who thus silence the controversy.

He can only be satisfied Paulo Fonseca after his first win as Milan coach: “We have to manage things calmly and with balance, which is what we have done. I have always chosen for the best of the team and if one day I think it is better to play without Rafa or Theo they have to understand, as they understood in the other match because I always think about the team first. The pressure between Roma and Milan? I don’t know, but Milan is a club that always plays to win. Not that Roma isn’t, but in these clubs there is always pressure. If we don’t want to have this type of pressure we can’t be coaches”.
