Como runs away, Bologna catches up: 2-2 at the “Sinigaglia”, now the Champions League for the Emilians

The challenge at the “Sinigaglia” between Como and Bologna ended without winners or losers. After three consecutive away matches, Cesc Fabregas’ team returned to home soil but the match against Vincenzo Italiano’s rossoblù ended with a bitter taste in the mouth. The Emilians managed to block the Larians reaching them at 2-2. The appointment is therefore postponed for both teams with their first victory of the season.

The home team started off strong and thanks to Patrick Cutrone, skilled at getting into the left side of the penalty areagenerated the own goal that unlocked the score after less than five minutes on the clock. The game went by with chances on both sides but errors in aim prevented the score from changing until the referee’s double whistle that sent everyone to the locker rooms.

The second half opened with Como doubling their lead and this time it was all Cutrone who beat Skorupski with a precise diagonal. Fabregas’ team would have had the chance to make it 3-0 on more than one occasion but Strefezza first and then Fadera missed the chance to knock out the visitors. Bologna then got back into the game with Castro, who put the ball back into the net after Goldaniga had blocked itand in the first of nine minutes of injury time Iling Jr froze everyone with a curling shot to the far post.
