Nesta finds Simone Inzaghi: “A football addict like Pippo. And he plays great football”

With the break for the national teams now over, Monza will face a tough challenge against Inter at the U-Power Stadium when the championship resumes. For mister Alexander Nestain the press conference, there is also room for some off-field topics: “We hope that our championship can take off from the match with Inter and if that were to happen it would be a great thing. The team is ready and we have also managed to recover some players. My rivalry with Inter? Not even when I was a player did I have it in for them, the Inter fans have always had great respect for me and vice versa towards them, even with president Moratti”.

Nesta, how was your approach to Serie A and what grade would you give him?
“I wouldn’t give myself a grade, I prefer to let others do it. Strengths and weaknesses of my Monza? The first match was very bad, better against Genoa and in Florence we should have managed better. My job is to bring home results, on which then depend the reactions of the environment, the fans and you journalists. If I win I’m a genius and if I lose I’m an idiot, but I’m used to pressure. If I do badly Galliani will send me home as is right”.

What do you think of Simone Inzaghi? It will also be a challenge between you two who are great friends
“He was a selfish player in terms of goals just like his brother Filippo. But jokes aside, he is a football addict like Pippo and he plays great football.”
