Navas joins Depay in Brazil? Negotiations at an advanced stage with Gremio

Brazil before retirement? Left without a team since last July 1st, Keylor Navas is still looking for a new challenge. At 37, the Costa Rican goalkeeper could fly to South America, where Grêmio have reportedly expressed interest in the former Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain player.

After a very difficult last season in the French capital, with nine games played in all competitions, Navas was courted by several clubs but rejected some offers, including that of the club where he grew up in Costa Rica, Deportivo Saprissa, and some Saudi teams. Now, according to CNN Brazil there would be an ongoing negotiation with the Porto Alegre company and the parties would be close to reaching an agreement.

Navas has won the Champions League three times with Real Madrid and is a player with great experience and quality despite his age. It remains to be seen whether this option will materialize before the Brazilian market closes on September 20. Keylor Navas would thus join Memphis Depay in the Brazilian championship.
