Ciro Ferrarareached by the microphones of SportMediaset on the sidelines of an event organized by Lega Serie A at the IULM University in Milan, he commented on the first days of the championship that has just begun: “There can always be surprises, but objectively, as champions of Italy, Inter necessarily starts ahead of everyone and everyone will try to beat them. They are a very well-organized team and have a really important squad. Today they are one step ahead of the others, then we are at the beginning of the season: there are some who are limping a bit, but for those that are the values, I think they can recover.

What does Conte need to improve Napoli in order to get it in tune with his idea of football?
“Apart from the first match, the next two, although played at home, were different. In the last one against Parma we saw a reaction to a negative situation, one that objectively hadn’t existed last year: this is already an excellent starting point. I think Antonio fits perfectly with the Neapolitan environment, he was very clear at the start of the season: now important players have arrived and there are equally important expectations. I think the main thing is to bring Napoli back into European competitions, preferably in the Champions League, because for 14 years it was the only Italian team in European competitions and bringing it back there would be important”.
