Oriana Sabatinimarried last July 20th with Paulo Dybalaconfessed to having a particular predilection for the dead and corpses, in an episode of her podcast “A dónde vamos cuando soñamos”. A hobby of hers, known as thanatopraxis, or the technique of temporary preservation of corpses. She also shared an episode involving her husband Paulo Dybala: “Now I’ll tell you something – Oriana begins – Daniel, the owner of the funeral home, calls me and says: ‘Ori, a corpse is arriving in half an hour. Are you ready to come?’. And obviously I said yes. It was 10 pm, I had already had dinner, I had nothing else to do.
There was a Brazil match and I don’t know who, Paulo was on the couch – Sabatini continues -. To watch it with my father we would have stayed there, I said: I’ll do something useful, I’ll go to the funeral home. I asked if anyone wanted to come with me and everyone was interested, because obviously everyone wants to gossip, they’re curious. Well, in the end Paulo ended up accompanying me and he said to me: ‘Don’t worry, I’ll stay there at the funeral home and take a tour’.
Sabatini herself, in a recent interview with LAM she revealed: “Since I was a child, death has attracted my attention. I was always very curious. In this question of going to live abroad and thinking about what to do with my life, the possibility of studying thanatopraxis was born.”
