Inter, Marotta’s words at the film premiere: “Inzaghi the director, players the leading actors”

Gala evening for theInterwhich in full force was the protagonist of the premiere of the film “Inter, due stelle sul cuore”, in theaters from 19 to 25 September, dedicated to the conquest of the twentieth championship of the Nerazzurri team.

From the stage of the Anteo cinema, which hosted the premiere, he spoke Beppe Marottapresident and CEO of Inter sports: “This evening gives me great joy. We celebrate the triumphal ride and the conquest of the Scudetto and the Second Star in synergy with cinema. Cinema has great strength, it consolidates and acts as a safe for the emotions we have experienced, it exalts the values and passion that have dragged us towards this success.

If Carlo A. Sigon is the director of the film, our director is Simone Inzaghi and the players are the main actors. It moves me to relive the season we spent together, the film is extraordinary and will remain in the memory of the fans. On April 22nd we won the Scudetto and I will never forget that evening, just as I will never forget the wave of Nerazzurri fans who invaded the city, with that incredible party in Piazza Duomo. This is the demonstration of how football drags and unites people, breaking down every barrier. That is the beauty of the Nerazzurri colours. From this season our players will play with the two stars on their chests, which represent the twenty glorious Scudetti of our Club. Twenty victories that sum up the work, sweat, sacrifice and joys of 116 years of Nerazzurri history. The path to the second star has distant roots and represents a victorious cycle that began way back in 1971, when the then captain Sandro Mazzola lifted the eleventh Scudetto in our history. Since then, 5 Scudetto-winning Presidents have followed one another: Fraizzoli, Pellegrini, Facchetti, Moratti and lastly President Steven Zhang who allowed us to lift the last two Scudettos.

From 1971 to today, 7 coaches have led Inter to victory in the tricolor: from Invernizzi to Bersellini, passing through Trapattoni, Mancini, Mourinho and concluding with Conte and Simone Inzaghi. Thanks also go to all the players, who were 176 (of which 10 have sadly left us), who have contributed to enriching our trophy cabinet with the Scudetto, great champions of the past including our Vice President Javier Zanetti. A journey that reaches today’s players who are sitting in this room and who last April 22 triumphed against Milan, winning the 20th Scudetto for our beloved Inter. Today it is up to us to pick up the baton from the great champions of the past and carry the glorious history of the Club into the future, continuing to fight to defend our colors and make the fans proud, who have always been at our side”.
