After Luciano Spalletti’s Italy’s success against Israel in the Nations League, yesterday was the day of the Azzurri youth teams. And the summary is all in all positive, looking at the overall picture.
It started in the afternoon with the Under 19 team led by coach Bollini who drew 2-2 against their Croatian counterparts: after Mannini’s lead, the Azzurrini suffered a Croatian comeback with Zebic and Zivkovic, before the goal for the final 2-2 with Caprini.
Later, Bernardo Corradi’s Under 20 team suffered a 3-0 defeat in the Elite League against Germany, with the Germans taking control of the match in the second half: in the 49th minute, Rothe scored the opening goal, then the 2-0 and the final 3-0 in the 90th and 92nd minutes with Kade and Komur.
A beautiful and convincing success instead for the Under 21 in the qualifications for the next European Championship of the category, with an absolute protagonist on the field: at home to Norway it ends 3-0 for Nunziata’s boys, with a hat-trick from the Roma player Thomas Baldanzi.
