“After the break is the real start. The prologue was the first three days, since the transfer market was still open. It was important to get points earlier, now we have to start again with a different pace. Juve and Inter are already strong, Roma and Milan are behind and without a victory they would already be seriously behind”.
Who do you immediately place expectations on?
“Everyone is curious about Roma but I wouldn’t put too much responsibility on De Rossi. Now he has to train and identify what he has in mind. So far he hasn’t had time for the market, but excellent players have arrived. We’ll see what work he does, as well as Conte, but also Milan if they can get out of this quicksand”.
Lazio, controversy over high ticket prices:
“Enough, they’re right. We’re losing our sense of reality. Without being moralistic, but 40 euros in the curve is a lot, most of the time for not seeing anything. I also think of the families who want to go to the stadium, and to these costs we must add the costs of TV subscriptions”.
Given the performances in blue, who has a better chance of playing more now between Frattesi and Baldanzi?
“Both. They are respected by their respective coaches. Frattesi is very popular but he doesn’t play the volume of Barella and he doesn’t play the game that Zielinski or Mkhitaryan do. However, he has the timing to get into the game like no one else in Europe perhaps. Baldanzi is a little Dybala, he’ll find his space. For me, De Rossi has his own plan, he wants to make him play as a mezzala. He can be in a dynamic and strong midfield, but he’s not ready in a team that still has to be built”.
Juve, Koopmeiners has introduced himself. Which role is best for him?
“He’s the monkey wrench of the team. He could do everything or almost everything, except full-back and goalkeeper.”
Do you have any doubts about Juve?
“Are we sure that Yildiz, in his first real year at Juve, can perform well? You have to make the difference in every game at Juve. Are we sure that Nico Gonzalez will find consistency? That Conceicao will adapt immediately? That Cabal will perform throughout the season? And so there are many questions. And we are talking about Juventus. I have no doubts about Motta, but we don’t know if certain players will all perform well”.
