The ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’ on newsstands today takes stock of the future of Patrick Dorgufull back of the Lecce at the centre of summer negotiations that never turned into a transfer because the Lecce has decided to keep him for at least another season. Pantaleo Corvino has already communicated to his agents that he will renew his contract after he said no to the offers of Chelsea and Tottenham in the summer. For the Giallorossi manager, next summer, Dorgu will have an even higher market valuation than last summer, of around forty million euros.
This week, Pantaleo Corvino expressed himself on Dorgu: “We met with his agents to tell them that we would extend the boy’s contract because we want to keep him in Lecce. We are fond of him and we believe in his potential.”
Born in 2004, Dorgu made his debut for the Danish senior national team last week and has collected two appearances against Switzerland and Serbia. In the summer his younger brother also landed in Italy: it is Ifenna Dorgucentral striker born in 2006 who left Koge to join Genoa on loan with an option to buy which could become an obligation upon achieving certain objectives.
