Chelsea, another off-field setback for Enzo Fernandez: license suspended

Another setback for Enzo Fernandezbut this time it’s not the pitch. The former Benfica player, ready to start his second season at Chelsea, has had his driving licence taken away after being found guilty of two offences at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court in Carmarthenshire. The news was reported by Sky Sports UK.

The Argentine midfielder did not identify the driver of his Porsche Cayenne, after an offence committed in December last year. In January he also did not reveal who was driving his vehicle and was therefore convicted of the same offence. On neither occasion, according to the television station, was it proven that Enzo was the driver of the car caught speeding and running a red light.

In addition to the suspension of his driving licence, the Chelsea midfielder was also fined €2,160.
