Frattesi’s report cards: a bomber in the Spalletti era. It doesn’t matter how, just throw it in

The striker of Spalletti’s national team is a midfielder and his name is Davide Frattesi. Also yesterday evening, in the 2-1 victory in the Nations League away to Israel, the 1999-born midfielder currently playing for Inter confirmed his offensive vocation, scoring his 6th goal under the current coach, his seventh overall in the national team jersey.

It is inevitable that, browsing through the various newspapers, he appears to be the best on the field. There are two 7.5s for Frattesi awarded by The Sports Gazette (“He is the bomber of the Spalletti era. Deadly in his insertions”) and from The Courier of Sportwho writes about him: “It doesn’t matter, the important thing is to put it in”. Half a point less for Frattesi from Allsports and from Evening Courierwho in describing it defines it as “elusive”.

Frattesi for us of TMW it is instead from 8: “Six goals in 15 games with Spalletti CT, he is now a certainty in the goal area. With an unprecedented chest shot he unlocks a match that up to that point was more balanced than expected. Then, not content, he steals the ball in the middle of the field from which the doubling comes”.
