Former Inter player Ciardi: “My name is Alessandro in honor of Del Piero. I dream of winning a World Cup”

“My name is in honor of Del Piero. I dream of winning a World Cup like him.” Important ambitions those of Alexander Ciardimidfielder of theItaly Under 18 and of the Salzburgwhich was told to Locker Room Chronicles: “During my adolescence I never saw the national team play a World Cup. It gave me an extra desire: I want to get there and make sure this never happens again. My dream is to win the World Cup as I already said. When we triumphed at the European Championship, knowing that I was a tiny part of the Azzurri shirt made me proud”.

Why did you decide to go and play for Salzburg?
“I chose to go abroad to broaden my football culture. I’m in the second team, in the Austrian Serie B, the football of the big boys.”

Who is your idol?
“Paulo Dybala is a role model: he is one of the few who still takes the responsibility of taking the ball and playing. However, at Salzburg there are many virtuous examples: Haaland, Sesko, Adeyemi, Upamecano and many others. They often remind us of their paths within the club”.

How did you organize yourself with languages?
“I do online school from Italy, I learned English and now I’m getting down to German. Leipzig is an international team.”
