(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, 09 SEPTEMBER – Cagliari ready to start again: after a two-day break, training resumes tomorrow afternoon in view of next Sunday’s match at the Domus against Napoli. Nicola will be able to count on the early return of Mina and Prati from their commitments with the national team: the Colombian, after the yellow card with Peru, was suspended for the next match. And he has received the go-ahead to leave the retreat. For Prati the motivation is different: the centre-back is still struggling with the ankle injury suffered against Lecce. The player responded to the call-up of the Under 21 and has continued his medical treatments with the Azzurri staff. His conditions are improving day by day, but the midfielder did not leave for the trip to Norway and has returned to Cagliari to continue his recovery. One by one, by Thursday, the other eight national teams engaged in Europe, America and Africa should also return.
Zappa and Gaetano, who started last week with an individual program, are also aligning themselves with their teammates. Last Saturday, both worked partially with the group and should be available to the coach for the entire session starting tomorrow. Compared to the latest outings, the new additions in view of the match against Napoli could be the inclusion in the starting lineup of Zortea, now recovered, and the latest arrival in the summer market, Gaetano. The presence of the former Napoli player could convince Nicola to experiment with different modules from the 3-5-2. Tickets are already on sale for Sunday’s match: the aim is to sell out. Cagliari was also present today at the final farewell to Cesare Poli, the 1970 Italian champion who passed away in recent days: a wreath of red and blue flowers from the club, the player’s number 4 shirt on the coffin. The club is attending the funeral with the general manager, Stefano Melis (ANSA).
