The captain of the Fiorentina women’s team Alice Tortelli spoke to the official microphones of the Viola club after the 0-1 victory against Ajax which earned Fiorentina women’s football a place in the Champions League play-offs:
What emotion do you feel when you advance to the next round?
“An indescribable emotion, we’ve been waiting to be here for a long time. It was very important to get through to the next qualifying round to finally return to the Champions League.”
How difficult was it?
“It was difficult, but we had a tough and young team in front of us. In the end we brought home what we deserved. Now let’s enjoy it and then focus on the next one.”
