Serie D, the wait is over: today the start of the 2024-25 championship. The dates of the season

With the publication of the calendars of the nine groups last August 9th (HERE is the complete program), the Serie D has taken the first steps of the 2024-25 season, with the championship starting this afternoon and ending on May 4, 2025. As the LND recalls, the fourth series tournament is the one that most represents the peninsula: 168 teams representing 19 out of 20 regions, with the sole exception of the Aosta Valley, 83 provinces and 2 capitals such as L’Aquila and Ancona in addition to the ‘foreign’ San Marino.

But let’s go into more detail about the dates, with two midweek rounds that will be played on October 23 (8th matchday of the season, 10th for Groups A, B and C, those with 20 teams) and April 17 (32nd matchday, 36th in Groups A, B and C), to which must then be added the four for the groups with 20 teams: on the field on September 18 (3rd matchday), October 2 (6th matchday), January 15 (22nd matchday) and January 29 (25th matchday). The first turning point, then, is set for January 5, when the return round will begin.

As for the timetable, the races will start at 15:00 until October 27th when they will then move to 14:30. The timetable will return to 15:00 starting from March 30th, while in the post season it will go forward to 16:00.
