TMW Radio
The former Juventus Dominic Moroccan intervened on TMW Radio during Maracanà focusing on the current events of the black and white house:
“Thiago Motta is building the team, the first two games gave few points of reference, given that they were very approachable teams, that could not put you in difficulty. He has midfielders who never enter the area compared to the previous one. Locatelli and Fagioli play only in front of the defense and here too we must improve”, explained Marocchino.
What are the growth margins?
“One of the qualities that a team must have is to read situations. Not being easy to read is a characteristic of a great team, but Juve is still easy to read. Some players need to improve, like Cabal, who has a remarkable pace but sometimes gets stuck. He has room to grow, however. There is a lot of work to do, then we’ll see”.
Yildiz and Vlahovic’s performance?
“Yildiz is praised but he is worth 1/3 of Fanna (his teammate in black and white from ’79 to ’82, ed.) now, he does a lot of cinema but is always on the spot. Galderisi scored a hat-trick on his debut, so what can we say? I think Virdis is stronger than Vlahovic, not to mention Rossi and Bettega. In today’s football it is not easy to play, he is left up front at the mercy, he needs help from the wingers but he also has to improve. Does this Motta’s Juve have a future? I really hope in Thuram and that Nico Gonzalez and Conceicao also give a bit of verve”.
