Italy, Raspadori: “Great victory. Role? Always available to his teammate”

The striker of Italy James Raspadori spoke to the microphones of Rai after the Nations League match won 1-3 against France.

Feelings?
“Great win. When you win against a team like that, there were a lot of positive things. We needed to make up for it and you could see this will, even if at times we were behind because they have quality players. We did what the game required.”

In the second half you played in your most comfortable position.
“Absolutely, due to my characteristics it is the position where I can best alternate between the two phases. I can also come from behind and attack the area. In this role I can express myself at my best”.

On one occasion you shot instead of crossing for Cambiaso and Retegui: your only mistake.
“I still have to see it again, then I’ll be able to give an opinion. The classic situation where if you score you’re right and if you make a mistake the criticism is right.”

You can play anywhere and with anyone.
“One of my characteristics is understanding the game and making myself available to my teammate. I think it’s one of my main qualities.”

Did you feel more light-hearted on Spalletti’s part?
“He said what he’s doing with us. In important competitions the pressure is higher, but we’re working calmly to be able to play with everyone.”
