Belgrano president: “With Matias Moreno at Fiorentina we have raised the bar”

Luis Artime, president of Belgranoheld a press conference during which he also dwelt on the sale of Matias Moreno to Fiorentina.

The number one of the Argentine club saidalso touching on the subject of the farewell to the 2003 class: “It has been a very long transfer market, the decisions were made in the last few weeks, it was a big gamble not to accept the first offers and negotiate them. This is the case of Moreno, Barinaga and Longo, they went to very big clubs, we must be proud of their growth. With the sale of Matías Moreno for 6 million we have raised the bar terribly in this transfer market, in front of Argentine football and world football”.

Furthermore, in the last few hours Moreno himself presented himself as a new Fiorentina player.: “Since my agent told me that Fiorentina was interested I have been excited about the opportunity. Great Argentines like Batistuta, Passarella and other compatriots of mine have passed through here. I can’t wait to start here too. Last season in Belgrano I played with a three-man defence and I think this will make my integration easier. I feel capable of tackling the three roles at the back and the experience will help me a lot. It is often said that Serie A is the most tactical championship in the world and I can’t wait to try my hand in this context too. I am very ambitious and I can’t wait”.
