Another club in the future of Luan Peres. The Brazilian defender, who had moved to the Fenerbahçeleaves José Mourinho and Turkey to return to his homeland Saintsthe club where he played from 2019 to 2021. He will now play in Serie B, below is the press release:
“Santos Futebol Clube have agreed to sign Luan Peres. The defender, who played for Peixe from 2019 to 2021, returns to the club after playing for Fenerbahçe in Turkey. He has signed a contract until December 2027. Born in São Paulo, Luan Peres is 30 years old and began his professional career at Portuguesa. In Brazilian football, he also played for Santa Cruz, Red Bull Brasil, Ituano, Ponte Preta and Fluminense, before moving to Club Brugge in 2018. The defender stayed in Belgium for just one season and in August 2019 he was loaned to Santos FC, where he quickly took over the starting lineup and won the admiration of the fans. In total, 90 games were played. Once identified, the defender was purchased outright by Alvinegro Praiano in February 2021. In July of the same year, however, Peixe ended up selling Luan to Olympique de Marseille from France. A runner-up in the Copa Libertadores da América in 2020 with Santos FC, the athlete has never hidden his affection for the club and has always shown his desire to return. Now Luan Peres returns to help in the rebuilding process of Santos FC. Welcome back, my defender!
