A hat-trick as a defender: we tell you about Claudio Lieto’s Sunday with Napoli

The central defender from Naples was the protagonist in the first match of the Under 17 championship, won with a convincing 4-2 against Frosinone.

Claudio Happy, central defender of the Naples U17showed an extraordinary performance in the match against Frosinone, contributing decisively to his team’s success with a peremptory 4-2. Despite his natural role as a defensive bulwark, Lieto was the protagonist with a sensational hat-trick, demonstrating an exceptional sense of goal from set pieces.

All three goals came from corner situations, highlighting not only his ability to position himself with timing in the penalty area, but also his remarkable composure and precision in heading. The first goal came after just five minutes, when Lieto jumped higher than anyone else and slipped the ball past the opposing goalkeeper with a powerful and precise header. The second goal, similar to the first, was the result of another somewhat bizarre corner, with the young defender making the most of his positioning to put the ball into the net. Finally, the third goal was the icing on the cake: another header, this time powerful and under the crossbar, which left the Frosinone goalkeeper with no chance.

In addition to his three goals, Lieto also offered a solid performance in defenceconfirming himself as a pillar of the Neapolitan rearguard. Thanks to his dual role as goalscorer and defender, Napoli was able to celebrate an important victory.
