Inter, Barella undergoes surgery today: Monza is aiming for it. Updates expected for Bastoni and Calhanoglu

No National for Nicholas Barella. In agreement with Luciano Spalletti, and with the medical staff of Inter and FIGC, the Nerazzurri midfielder was not in fact included in the squad for Italy’s two Nations League matches. Today, in fact, he will undergo surgery to clear his airways.

On the pitch with Monza. This is the player’s goal, which shouldn’t be particularly difficult to achieve. The surgery, which will resolve his sinusitis problems, will take place today and will not be particularly invasive, it will be done in a day hospital. Then a separate training program and gym for the week – the other teammates who remained in Appiano Gentile will return to work tomorrow given the three days granted by Simone Inzaghi – in order to be there for the match at the U-Power Stadium against Monza.

Two knockouts. In the next few hours there will also be updates on the conditions of Alexander Bastoni And Hakan Calhanoglu. The two players came out of the match against Atalanta in pain, victims of two muscular problems for which Inzaghi himself said he was worried although confident that it was nothing special. Both Bastoni and Calhanoglu responded to the call of their respective national teams: their return to base will depend on the outcome of the tests, otherwise at Inter they hope that both Spalletti and Montella will be cautious in their use.
