Bad news for Fallou Sarr and for the Spice from the tests carried out immediately after the match against Cesena. The Aquilotto goalkeeper was forced to leave the pitch in the 89th minute due to injury following a high-grip save: upon rebounding, the player was unbalanced and landed awkwardly on his left arm. The conditions immediately appeared serious, even though Sarr left the pitch without the help of a stretcher, but wearing a visible brace.
The Ligurian club has just released the medical bulletin that suggests a long stop for the Senegalese goalkeeper:
“Spezia Calcio announces that the diagnostic tests performed on the footballer Fallou Sarr, who left the pitch following a clash during the final minutes of the home win against Cesena, have revealed a diaphyseal fracture of the left humerus.
The footballer will undergo surgery on Tuesday in Milan at the San Raffaele Hospital and the operation will be performed by Prof. Vincenzo Salini.”
