With just under an hour to go until kick-off, Newcastle v Tottenham the official starting lineups of Eddie Howe and Ange Postecoglou have been announced. On one side the Magpies they choose to leave the former Milan Tonali and Almiron on the bench, same fate for Trippier who however is about to leave for Arabia.
On the other side the Spurs Dragusin and Pape Sarr return to the starting lineup, replacing Micky van de Ven and Brennan Johnson. The Dutchman, however, is not among the players called up, Solanke and Richarlison are unavailable due to injury. Vicario is untouchable between the posts, the choice to leave out the former Juventus player Bentancur is also surprising.
NEWCASTLE (4-3-3): Pope, Kelly, Krafth, Burn, Livramento, Joelinton, Guimaraes, Longstaff, Barnes, Gordon, Isak. Available: Dubravka, Trippier, A Murphy, Targett, Osula, Hall, Tonali, J Murphy, Almiron. Trainer: Howe.
