Monza, Nesta: “We needed more personality in the second half, Maldini has some crazy moves”

Appointment postponed with the first victory this season for Monza, Gosens’ goal in the final minutes denied the success to the team Alexander Nesta who spoke to DAZN microphones at the end of the match. “In the first half we could have done a little better, we had three actions scoring two goals and a post. In the second half we had to have more personality in keeping the ball, we gave up playing a little. But you have to keep the ball more, otherwise they crush you behind”.

Big moves again today for Daniel Maldini, what do you expect?
“He has some crazy shots, he has some top-level intuitions. He needs to stay in the game more time in both phases.”

What’s still missing?
“We have to grow physically, we have some players who have to reach a higher level. We have to have more control of the game, we must not spend the whole second half in our penalty area. Our condition is not yet at its best, there could be many factors but our objective must be to have more of the ball and shoot more on goal”.

The group is experienced, there are interesting young people. Did you expect something more from the market?
“We did the best we could, some players arrived and some didn’t. Sometimes there are opportunities that you bring home, other times you don’t. I’m happy with the group, I never complain and I’m at a great club and I move forward.”
