Genoa, the transfer of a striker is defined: Yalcin to Arouca, only the announcement is missing

Transfer in the process of being finalized for Genoa. The transfer of Guven Yalcin, a Turkish striker born in 1999 and purchased from Besiktas in the summer of 2022, to FC Arouca, a Portuguese club, is practically complete. The agreement between the two clubs was closed on the basis of a loan with an option to buy, with the player being available to his new coach in the next few hours.

Meanwhile yesterday, when asked about Genoa’s transfer market, coach Alberto Gilardino expressed himself as follows: “First of all, I’m happy that the market is closed. When there are weeks and days where we talk about players coming in and going out, it’s never easy for anyone. I’ve also seen interviews with other players: it’s not an alibi, but a constant reality. I’m happy about this and I’m happy with the players who have arrived. Very happy and very happy with those who have arrived and those who have stayed from last season. Naturally, there was the desire and the intention to complete the squad in some areas where we are naturally lacking in numbers at the moment, but that hasn’t been the case.

And then in another passage: “On the one hand there is the happiness of having this group, on the other the regret of not having been able to complete the squad. I am talking about the position of fifth and left winger in the rotations with Martin and I am talking about a central defender. I have been talking about it with the club in the last month, also because Marcandalli has been out for a long time, Matturro has not yet returned and unfortunately we have Bani and Zanoli with problems. Evaluations had been made in this direction, but this has not been the case. Now we need to think about who is here now and this group must demonstrate what it has done in these weeks. It must maintain this spirit and this type of feelings”.
