After three games, Vincenzo Italiano’s new Bologna is still looking for its first success in this championship. At Dall’Ara the rossoblù team did not go beyond a 1-1 draw against Empoli with Gyasi who responded in the fourth minute to the goal scored by Fabbian a few seconds earlier.
So at the end of the match Vincenzo Italiano: “Even today the home team has a really important spirit, they manage to approach well and always have control of the game. We are conceding little, but we can’t help but let that little turn into goals conceded. Even today we suffered two shots and almost conceded two goals. We need to work much more carefully, because it can happen but even today we had three/four clear situations where we could have taken the lead and where the game could have changed script”.
At the end of the match Salvatore Sullo, D’Aversa’s assistant: “I congratulated the lads but I am convinced that we could have done even more because there was a moment in the game in which we could have managed the ball better against a team that plays in the Champions League. In the first half we created good chances while in the second half we suffered. Everyone gave their contribution and we brought home the result. It is useless to look at the standings now. Now we have to think about improving and growing. We had a difficult week, so in the last quarter of an hour we dropped back because we were in a bit of difficulty”.
