Al Taawoun attempt a coup: Firmino requested on loan, Al Ahli say no

Not only Al Ahli unleashed on the market, in fishing from Europe with Ivan Toney. There is another club from Saudi Arabia that in truth would have been interested in a top player from the competition, precisely from the Arab club based in Jeddah, in order to reinforce their offensive department with a big shot with proven experience in the Old Continent and 55 appearances with the Brazil jersey.

The indiscretion. According to information collected by the sports channel ArryadiaAl Ahli management has received a formal offer fromAl Taawoun for Roberto ‘Bobby’ Firminoformer Liverpool striker who has been in the Saudi Pro League for a year now. A request for a 12-month loan, in the form of an official letter, it says, from the 32-year-old player which however was declined.

The reason? Al Ahli management made it clear with broad gestures that there was no chance of the Brazilian striker leaving, despite the signing of Ivan Toney from Brentford. Even more so not on a one-year loan. Firmino moved to Al Ahli last season from Liverpool and played 34 games in all competitions, scoring nine goals and creating seven.
