Festy Ebosele is about to say goodbye to Udinese. The 22-year-old Irishman – but of Nigerian origins – has ended up in the sights of Reims, in addition to the already known interest of Galatasaray and some Championship clubs. Thus, the Friulian club has immediately identified his replacement: from AIK Solna should arrive Rui Manuel Muati Modesto, 24-year-old born in Portugal but of Angolan origins (1 appearance for the national team).
Rui Modesto he is the classic full-back who can be used especially in a 3-5-2 or in Kosta Runjaic’s 3-4-2-1. A fundamental role for the Bianconeri: Ehizibue plays on the right, but Rui Modesto’s experience could also be useful for sending the young Esteves on loan.
So far, the 1999-born player has played 20 games in the Swedish championship, scoring 6 goals and providing as many assists. Important numbers for a player in the prime of his footballing maturity and who seems ready for the big leap after his experiences in Scandinavia (in 2020 he was purchased by the Finnish team Honka, who sold him to AIK two and a half years later).
Thanks to his physical and technical characteristics, Rui Modesto can also play as a mezzala or attacking midfielder. His price tag is 1.5 million euros: a very small investment for a very interesting boy.
