In the last few days, through his profile Twitterthe attorney of Victor Osimhen Roberto Calenda had officially ruled out the Saudi Arabia option a few days ago with this message: “Osimhen is a Napoli player, with a contract recently renewed to our mutual satisfaction. He made history in blue and when there were important offers (this year too) we always accepted the club’s decisions. As I said, he is not a package to be sent far away to make room for new prophets. Victor was elected African footballer of the year, eighth in the Ballon d’Or, he still has a lot to say in Europe. Respect and balance are needed”.
The situation now seems to have changed: as reported by Sky Sports a meeting will take place shortly in the next few hours between the sporting director of the Saudi club and the Nigerian’s agent, with the negotiations therefore entering the heart of the matter, given the official contact between the parties.
The Al-Ahli manager, to try to convince Napoli’s number 9, will put on the table a contract of 30 million euros per season for the next 4 years, a figure three times higher than the current salary received by Osimhen at Napoli. Chelsea would also offer more or less the 10 million that the player currently earns and this makes it clear why the striker is open to the Arab hypothesis. If the yes were to arrive, Al-Ahli would then seek an agreement on the price of the player with Napoli and even in this case the figures would probably be higher than those that would concern Chelsea.
