The well-known transfer agent Oscar Damiani, gave an interview to 1 Station Radio, speaking during the program “1 Football Club”, to talk about transfers and some Serie A teams.
Who really expects him to arrive at Napoli?
“There are good managers in Naples, they know what to do. Personally I don’t know who will arrive, but from experience I can say that English or Scottish players have rarely settled in well in Italy. Lukaku would certainly be the non plus ultra, who knows Conte, and who would thrive in an environment like Naples: he would be the right player in the right place”.
How badly was the Osimhen affair handled?
“I don’t want to get into the merits: Calenda is a good agent, and Napoli is an excellent club. We must not forget that Osimhen is a Napoli player. I hope that an agreement is found that is valid for all parties. I think a transfer to Paris would be complicated, but I hope so, even if certain negotiations as important as this are not concluded in the last days of the transfer market. Osimhen is a great champion, I would be happy if he played in France”.
What should we expect from Neres? In a few minutes he set the square alight.
“He’s an interesting guy, he dribbles well, but the Italian championship is difficult: it’s too early to comment.”
The Milan market?
“The choices made by Milan do not convince me one hundred percent and the start of the championship is proof of this, because it has not been exciting. Theo was the weak link with Parma: he is genius and unruly: he has great qualities, but in defense he is often surprised. He must always be at his best to perform and do well in his Milan”.
Inter still the favourites?
“Inter is a strong club, it doesn’t need to make big moves on the market. Baccin and Ausilio are great managers, and Inzaghi is a very good coach. The team is already competitive as it is, but if they can bring in new players, then they are welcome.”
And Juventus?
“Juve started well, even if I wasn’t convinced by the initial choices. They have a very good coach, who makes his team play well. The championship will be even more interesting and competitive because Juventus can’t be a surprise given that they always play to win”.
