There are six fans of the Taranto reached in the last few hours by the DASPO provision, with a duration varying between one and ten years, issued by the Police Chief of Potenza Joseph Ferrari.
The measure was ordered following a serious incident that occurred on October 5, 2023 during the Coppa Italia Serie C match between Picerno and Taranto, played at the “Curcio” stadium. The six fans were the protagonists of a brawl that broke out in the stands, also using a flagpole as an improvised weapon. The intervention of the Carabinieri of the Potenza Company Command, supported by images from video surveillance cameras, allowed the perpetrators to be identified.
