Alex Valle leaves Barcelona on loan and moves to Scotland. Celtic announced a few minutes ago the arrival of the 2004-born full-back, who last season played a championship in the Segunda Division at Levante. Below is the press release with the announcement from the Scottish club: “Celtic are delighted to have signed 20-year-old Barcelona left-back Alex Valle on a season-long loan from the La Liga giants.
He joined Barcelona ten years ago, part of Barca’s famous La Masia youth academy, and began playing for Barcelona B in 2022. After a six-month loan spell in Andorra, he spent last season on loan at Levante. He has been part of Barcelona’s first-team squad this season, and has been on the bench in the first two La Liga games. The defender has also represented Spain at U-18, U-19 and U-20 levels, and made his U-20 debut while still playing for the U-19s.
